1940 Census

The 1940 United States Census was released on April 2, 2012. Indexers have been busy working to get the states indexed so the images will be searchable.

Below are progress bars for each state (I apologize that they are lined up and not side by side):

You can also keep up with the progress here and here. I like the one on FamilySearch.org with a map of the states that you can mouseover to see how each state is doing.
